Allegria with the
Choir of Hope and Inspiration
Nov 2014
Victorian Tour
A huge year of planning, musical preparation and fundraising culminated in our first ever interstate trip to Victoria in November. Concerts and workshops were interspersed with much impromptu singing, much laughter, much food and the odd bit of Melbourne sight-seeing and shopping. A highlight was our combined rehearsal with Jonathan Welch and his amazing 'Choir of Hope and Inspiration.'
Adelaide Flashmob 2014
One day we had a crazy idea to see if a few people around Adelaide might be interested in doing some flashmobs. So Ange wrote a flashmob song, put together an arrangement and we got busy on social media. Before too long hundreds of people were engaged, we ran a workshop which 150 brave and enthusiastic people attended, then we kazood, sang and clapped our way through 4 flashmobs over the following 3 months. They were all unique with their own quirky highs and challenges, but it was huge fun, and we got great feedback. See all the laughs, pics and videos at
2014 Adelaide Fringe
We were very excited to be invited to support men's a capella group 'The Spooky Men From The West' in their Adelaide Fringe debut show The Dark Knights of Song in the Barossa on 2nd March. We had a ball singing with the Spooky Men, and learnt lots from the experience. The show received great feedback, with the guys being recognised with a Fringe Award.
Burnside Citizenship
This was the thrid year that Allegria was inivted to sing the National Anthem under the gums at the Burnside Citizenship cermony, always a very moving experience, enhanced by the beautiful Burnside Park setting.
